I made a two tier carrot cake for a friends birthday. It leaned terribly. (Really bad!) I frosted it with cream cheese frosting. I found a miniature skier from my model train supplies cabinet. Made a miniature sign out of paper and toothpicks. The sign said, AVALANCHE AREA BEWARE. I used sprigs of carrot tops for the broken trees. I spread piles of frosting to replicate the avalanche of snow. And, the skier was at the edge of the avalanche. It was a hit, especially since he had been a skier, earlier in life. Something I didn't know at the time.
